With your own panel you analyse exactly the situations that fit your football vision. A panel consists of categories that hold situations.

1. In SmartCoach, click **Panels** in the menu.
2. Click **New panel**, give it a name and click **Create**.
3. Click **Add Category**. Give the category a name and a colour, for example "Attacking".
4. In the category, click **Add Situation**, for example "Build-up".
5. Under **What do you analyse in this situation**, choose the parts you want to use.
6. Set the **Clip length**.
7. Give the situation a **Shortcut** if you like.

Your panel saves automatically.

## Parts of a situation

- **Sub-situation**: distinguish within a situation, for example left, central or right.
- **Result**: what the action produced. Order the results from best to worst.
- **Choice**: which other situation the player could have chosen.
- **Execution**: details you assess, for example body position.
- **Players**: choose which players were involved while you analyse.

Type an option and press Enter to add it. With no parts switched on, you only capture the moment.

## Clip length

With a fixed clip length, the clip covers the seconds **Before** and **After** your click. Use this for short moments, such as a shot. Switch on **Flexible clip length** for situations without a fixed length, such as a build-up. You then click at the start and again at the end. Before and After are added as extra context.

## Shortcuts

A shortcut is a number or letter that picks a situation while you analyse, without clicking. Each key works once per panel. Keys that control the video cannot be used.

## Analysis flow

At the top of the Panel Builder, choose under **Analysis flow** what happens when you pick a situation:

- **Analyse straight away**: the video pauses and you answer the questions right away.
- **Tag first, analyse later**: the video keeps playing and you answer the questions afterwards.

## Lay-out

On the **Lay-out** tab you drag situations and make buttons bigger or smaller. Your panel then looks the way you want.
